Today, I would like to share 4 types of commonly used water-based system defoamers.

Application types of 4 common water-based system defoamers:

1. Organosilicon: Organosilicon is widely used at present, because of its characteristics of fast defoaming, less dosage and favorable price, it is often used in water treatment, sand washing, coal washing plant, shield mud, cleaning, Petrochemical and other industries. Silicon-based water-based defoamers have good defoaming and antifoaming properties, so they are widely loved by everyone.

2. Surfactants: This type of defoamer is actually an emulsifier, which uses the dispersing effect of the surfactant to keep the foam-forming substance dispersed in a stable emulsified state in water, thereby avoiding the formation of foam.

3. Paraffins: Paraffins defoamers are defoamers made by emulsifying and dispersing paraffin waxes or their derivatives with emulsifiers. Their use is similar to emulsified defoamers of surfactants.

4. Tributyl phosphate: Tributyl phosphate defoamer is developed as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, chlorinated rubber and polyvinyl chloride, and an extractant for rare metals. It can dissolve Insoluble in various organic solvents, insoluble in water, suitable for a wide range of industries, due to its low surface tension and insoluble properties in water, it can be used as an industrial defoamer to effectively stabilize the formed foam film State and rapid defoaming.
